Helping Children of Limited Means Reach Up

Girls Inc. exists to equip girls between the ages of 6 and 18 with the educational assistance to help them graduate from high school. They teach life skills to prepare them for the rest of their lives. Girls Inc. does this through after-school tutoring, mentoring, by teaching classes on pregnancy prevention, drug abuse prevention, fiscal responsibility, and college preparedness.

World Vision's Youth Empowerment Project (YEP) provides young people with the tools and experiences that inspire and encourage civic participation and leadership. YEP takes the passion, pain and anger and redirects the energy into positive activities. Through this experience,youth growing up in distressed communities learn to identify, articulate, and advocate around local and national issues, and to serve as leaders of change in their communities.
