What We Provide

Training

homepage-equip-what_we_provide_small.jpgTraining unleashes the potential of community leaders. Our target audience is community organizations that focus on the well-being of children and youth. Organizational capacity training workshops are offered in five critical areas: leadership development; organizational development; programs/services; funding; and community engagement.  More information on what is available.

Curriculum Development

“Best practices” in community transformation and youth empowerment are at the core of World Vision’s training curriculum, providing participants with the most advanced and effective development models. Curriculum is researched, designed, piloted, and disseminated through our workshops, at national events, and for use by partnering organizations. The curricula include modules that focus on organizational and program development, youth empowerment, and advocacy.

Technical Assistance

Technical assistance identifies, selects, or designs solutions and practices that support improvement in operations, empowering community groups to successfully achieve their goals and objectives. Technical assistance and capacity-building support are provided by existing World Vision staff and, as needed, a certified pool of technical, management, and program specialists.

Network Development

Collaboration among organizations is critical in developing and implementing a viable plan for community transformation. Serving as an intermediary, World Vision brings together interested parties, such as community service organizations, churches, and public agencies, to facilitate a strategy for community change. While this process requires significant investment of time and resources, collaboration increases the likelihood that the shared action plan will improve service delivery and pave the way for systemic change in communities.
